Oh hi. It seems that I forgot I had a blog here for the last two months. That's what being just around the corner from your wedding day will do to a person. Suddenly there's no time for anything and when you do have time you just want to savor the nothingness. I hope you'll understand.
Back before I was hit with the reality that this wedding is actually happening whether I'm ready or not, I had a lovely break from it all in beautiful Chicago. Chicago is one of those cities people are constantly praising and making me want to visit. Our primary purpose for the visit was to attend Justin's brother's wedding, but my secondary goal was to explore the new to me city as much as possible in our short time there. And it was short. I feel like I could spend another week just sampling the restaurants I wanted to visit. Here's a taste of what we did manage to squeeze in.
Roy Lichtenstein exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago
Veggie flat bread at the museum Cafe. I just love museum cafes!
Architecture tour by boat
Da bean! Gave us oompa loompa legs :(
Free concert in Millennium Park
Picnic complete with Garrett Chicago mix popcorn
Deep dish pizza
Brunch at Publican!
Since our trip I've had a lovely bridal shower, bachelorette party in Laguna Beach and worked on many, many craft projects for the wedding. It's been a whirlwind and I can't wait to share them with you.
Pssst, between you and me, I'm getting married THIS weekend! Blogging will commence when I am single no more. Thanks for your patience! PS, I have done some blogging related work in the last two months. You can now find this blog at tastechaser.com. Whoop! My own dot com!
